Dirt Cake
This is a dessert I made over a year ago for a church activity. I got the recipe from my friend Heather. I had taken pictures of it so that I could show off my new trifle bowl but now I guess the picture came in handy for the first recipe I post here. This dessert turned out very delicious. I think that the next time I make this I’ll probably spice things up appearance-wise by adding creepy crawlers (gummy worms).
Ingredients:
1 pkg. Oreos
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1 stick margarine, softened
3 cups milk (I used skim milk)
¾ cups powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) container of cool whip
Directions:
Crush the Oreos in the food processor. Mix together the softened margarine, cream cheese, and powdered sugar. In another bowl, mix the pudding and milk. Then mix these two bowlfuls of stuff together and add the cool whip to it. Starting and ending with the crushed Oreos, make layers: Oreos, cream cheese mixture, Oreos, cream cheese mixture, Oreos, etc.

which is actually courtesy of my mom. Aren't you sweet to give credit! Although you should add your neat trick for if you don't have a food processor in there for all of you "blonde" friends (like me) to use a ziploc bag & rolling pin. You are so smart!
